Description: This species’ natural habitat extends from China (Guangdong) to Vietnam. It is a type of bamboo that thrives predominantly in subtropical climates. Although it grows best outdoors in full sun, this bamboo can also be cultivated indoors due to its adaptability. This bamboo is able to withstand a variety of soil conditions and temperatures as low as 20° F. It has been said that this plant can grow up to 55 feet tall outside in ideal circumstances. However, its vertical growth is constrained when kept as a potted plant. Buddha Belly Bamboo is one of the fastest-growing bamboo species, and it is robust, adaptable, and quick-growing.
