Description:  Strychnon is a medium-sized tree with a short thick trunk. Despite being extensively utilized in medical before to World War II, it has no uses in current medicine. The fatal dose of strychnine for humans is between 30 and 120 mg. It has been observed that significantly larger doses of survival exist. Nux vomica has characteristics similar to the alkaloid strychnine. In order to treat dyspepsia, strychnine seed powder was employed. Additionally, mixtures of Nux Vomica were utilized as an intestinal stimulant.
