Description:  A 20 m high tree. Mahua formulations are used to treat debility and emaciation, respiratory illnesses, and intestinal worm infestations. Diabetes, rheumatism, and dental issues are treated with the astringent bark extract.  Madhuca longifolia blooms and gives forth green-fleshed fruits with three to four seeds. Many Ayurvedic medications contain this tree as a fermentation initiator. According to Ayurveda, it can be used to treat skin conditions, neurological issues, coughs, burning sensations, and diarrhoea.
