The oil extracted from the seed is useful in the production of biofuels, soaps, detergents, lubricants, varnishes, cosmetics, and medications. The wood is used for millwork, particleboard, fiberboard, veneer, and plywood, as well as for furniture parts, boxes, crates, and interior construction. Particularly since it burns easily when still green and freshly cut, the wood is utilized as fuel.
