Description:  Trees up to 20 m tall. The fruits can be eaten. The pulp is smooth and delicious in colour. The ovoid or globose 3–4 cm wide fruit is an olive green colour The seeds have been used as a treatment for mental illnesses, nervous breakdowns, and heart palpitations in India. They can also be intoxicating. The fruit’s effects are astringent and cooling. According to reports, the dried flowers are beneficial for blood, skin, and urinary ailments. Bark has astringent properties. In order to treat diarrhoea, a decoction is employed.
